Beginner Salsa

We know it can be challenging to learn something new. As such, the beginner salsa class is geared for people who are starting out or those that are returning to refresh their skills. Our relaxed environment is perfect for learning salsa basics, as we make it fun and enjoyable. In this class you will learn basic directional steps, proper frame for partner-work and simple turn patterns. We organize our curriculum so that the movements are easy to remember. Join us to learn the fundamentals! No experience is necessary and no partner is required. Drop-in fee is $20.

Embark on a vibrant journey into the world of salsa with our beginner-friendly class. This class will help you with the foundational skills you need to confidently step onto the dance floor.

You’ll master the essential basic steps, from the forward and backward movements to the rhythmic side-to-side transitions. We will then introduce you to the fundamental basic turns, allowing you to fluidly spin with your partner. A key focus will be on the cross-body lead, a core move that enables seamless partner communication.

Throughout the class, we will also emphasize proper body weight transfer and body posture, ensuring you develop a strong, balanced, and elegant presence. Join us and discover the joy of salsa!
