Ready to step up your salsa game? Salsa intermediate – partner dancing class build on the basics, introducing exciting new turns, footwork, and partner patterns to elevate your dancing.

This class is designed for dancers who have a solid foundation in salsa fundamentals and are ready to take their skills to the social dance floor. Moving beyond basic steps and patterns, we’ll focus on the essential techniques, musicality, and partner-work dynamics that make for confident and enjoyable social dancing. Drop-in fee is $20 and no partner is required.

Requirements:
- Intermediate steps: You should have a solid grasp of fundamental salsa patterns like the cross-body lead, right and left turns, and basic shines. A good understanding of the foundational steps allows you to focus on the more intricate details and advanced combinations without getting lost.
- Proficiency in lead/follow & turns: The ability to confidently lead or follow complex turns and combinations is essential. Advanced classes move at a faster pace and assume you can execute these movements smoothly and intuitively. You’ll be working on more intricate variations of turns and strong foundation is key to keeping up and avoiding injury.
- Proficiency in timing & partnership: You should be able to consistently stay on time with the music and maintain a strong connection with your partner. This is crucial for executing more intricate patterns and for the safety and enjoyment of both dancers. Advanced classes emphasize musicality and connection, so being able to feel the rhythm and communicate with your partner is vital for success.
