This highly condensed course focuses on awareness, prevention, and simple, effective physical responses you can rely on when seconds count. We prioritize getting you to safety above all else.
Workshop Details
- The “Airway Priority”: technique to instantly break front and rear chokes, ensuring you can breathe and think clearly under pressure.
- Clothing & Control: Discover how to use an attacker’s grip against them. We’ll cover shirt and lapel grabs, teaching you how to use leverage to break their “frame” and create distance.
- Asset Defense (Backpacks & Purses): Most thefts involve a grab of your gear. We’ll practice how to defend against being dragged by a strap, when to “shed the load,” and how to use your bag as a temporary shield.
- Counter-Striking Foundations: Learn to use “biological tools”—palm strikes, knees, and elbows—to disrupt an attacker’s focus so you can facilitate your release.
