You Will Learn:
The Basic Step & Close Embrace: You will master the foundational quick-quick-slow rhythm and learn how to comfortably and confidently navigate the essential close-hold connection that defines Forró.
Leading & Following Techniques: Discover the clear, subtle body cues required to effortlessly lead your partner through turns and variations, and how to follow with grace and responsiveness.
Traveling & Stationary Patterns: Learn fundamental steps like the ‘Caminhada’ (walking step) and common stationary turns that will allow you to dance on any size floor.
Rhythm & Musicality: Connect your movement to the distinct musical styles of Forró—from the mellow ‘Xote’ to the faster, more energetic ‘Pé-de-Serra.’
