Salsa Beginners 2

Ready to take your salsa to the next level? Salsa lessons in Marin will help you to add some flair and fluidity to your salsa dancing.
Pre-requisite: Salsa Beginners 1 – You know your basic steps, left turn, right turn, cross-body lead, and you hold your frame.
What You’ll Learn
We’ve curated a curriculum designed to build your confidence and your “social dance” vocabulary:
- The Cross Body Lead (CBL) Series: Master both Inside and Outside Turns, the essential building blocks for moving your partner across the floor with grace.
- The “I Turn – You Turn”: A classic social dance staple that develops timing and hand-change coordination.
- The Walk-Through: Learn how to transition smoothly through the dance space without breaking your rhythm.
- Footwork & Shine: We’ll break down the footwork pattern that adds personality to your “shines.”
Technique & Artistry
Dancing is about more than just where your feet go. In this level, we dive deeper into the “how”:
- The Frame: Understand the “tension and compression” needed to lead and follow clearly without using muscle.
- Upper Body Mechanics: Learn how to isolate your ribcage and shoulders to move with that authentic Latin soul.
- Connection: Developing a “heavy” but responsive arm connection to ensure your partner feels every lead.
